Problem
A storefront has to stay fast and correct while a great many people use it at once, and the data behind it grows every day. At that scale, a site that merely works will slow down, fail at busy moments, or drift out of step with its own records.
The work was to build a store and the platform under it that could carry that load, rather than patch one that could not.
